Guest Mentor: Adam Lambert-season 8 runner up

Crystal Bowersox-played electric guitar and sang "Saved"; gospel feel; energetic; fantastic; rocked it; song suited her voice; original; way to start off the show

Andrew Garcia-sang "Hound Dog"; Randy didn't like it; lack of swagger; Ellen liked it; lazy; unpredictable; lack of star power

Tim Urban-sang "Can't Help Falling in Love" and played the guitar; Randy was surprised; Ellen liked it; from the heart; current; beautiful; went from zero to hero in two weeks

Lee Dewyze-sang "A Little Less Conversation" and played the guitar; another solid performance; current; engaged with the audience; needs to be playful; nailed the song

Aaron Kelly-sang "Blue Suede Shoes"; half and half for Randy; good job; Kara liked it; stepped out of his comfort zone; Simon called it "old fashioned"

Siobhan Magnus-sang "Suspicious Minds"; took some risks; Ellen liked it; Kara was confused; screechy; lost her confidence

Michael "Big Mike" Lynche-sang "In The Ghetto" and played the guitar; good but sleepy; sang it well; Simon's favorite performance of the night

Katie Stevens-sang "What You Want Me to Do"; entertaining; loud and annoying; confident

Casey James-played the guitar and sang "Lawdy Miss Clawdy"; solid performance; Ellen wasn't excited; Kara wanted more; Simon called it a "good vocal"; forgettable song
