Here are the ten reasons why Adam Lambert will never win American Idol
1. He is too theatrical--He worked in musical theater
2. The judges patronize him too much
3. America never votes for the one with true talent
4. His performances were manic, screaming and crazy
5. He wrecked a cool disco song "Play That Funky Music"
6. He will never win a Grammy for his debut album
7. He tries to outsing Danny and Allison and Kris
8. His debut album will never sell a million copies
9. He never sings a soft song
10. Kris & Allison are ten million times better than him
do you agree with me?...Leave comments and remember, don't vote for him next week!!

American Idol Season 8: Top 5
Five idols left in the competition. It's time to raise the game. They have to give it their all if they want to get to the finale in three weeks. One bad song choice, one bad peformance, it's the end of the road. This week: Classic songs from the Great American Songbook. These songs have stood the test of time and they are still loved today. I like to these classic songs. The mentor is superstar actor/singer Jamie Foxx.
Kris Allen-"The Way You Look Tonight"
Best performance to date; Had a R&B flavor; set the technical standard at high; "Dark Horse" status; sophiscated; impeccable performance; Safe
Allison Iraheta-"Someone to Watch Over Me"
She celebrated her birthday this week; Ruff & gruff style; tender; Gut wrenching performance; alluring; tender; She should be in the finale; Simon thinks that she could be in trouble; SAFE!!
Matt Giraud-"My Funny Valentine"
Hard song to sing; Pitchy; 6 out of 10; Not emotionally connected; Simon loved it; Believable; Authentic; Nat King Cole-type phrasing; Sorry, Matt, the competition is getting too stiff for you--it's time to hit the road
Adam Lambert-"Feeling Good"
In the zone; too broadway; Best performance of the night; Come on, Adam--SAfe for another week unless America has put you in the Bottom 2 and send you home!!
Danny Gokey-"Come Rain or Come Shine"
Great trombone intro; Randy thinks that Danny could make an album of standards--I'd buy it; Kara loved his Rat Pack swagger; Stellar performance; Superb performance; Outstanding; Danny is step closer to the finish line
Bottom 2 Predictions: Adam Lambert & Matt Giraud

American Idol Season 8: Top 7
The seven remaining American Idols take on songs from the movies. Quentin Tarantino, the great director of classic movies such as "Pulp Fiction" and "Kill Bill-Volumes 1 and 2" mentored the Idols in their song selections. Can the sensational seven deliver good performances? To save time, two of the four judges will comment each performance...I don't like that format...bad idea
Allison Iraheta-"I Don't Want to Miss A Thing" from "Armageddon"-Aerosmith
Crowd pleaser; authentic; the girls' only hope in the competition--there are only two girls left; she has a good shot of making the finale;Safe

Lil Rounds-"The Rose" from "The Rose"
Last week, Lil was in the bottom 3..Can she rebound this week?; Paula was pleased; Simon was frustrated because Lil is the same artist he first met a few weeks ago. Lil spoke her mind--Bad idea, Lil....Talking back to Simon could mean a plane ride home--Safe!!!

American Idol Season 8: Top 8
This week, the 8 remaining American Idol hopefuls sing songs from the year of their birth. Can they choose the right songs without incurring the wrath of the judges?
First up, the show opened with baby photos of Ryan, Simon, Paula, Kara, and Randy
Simon looked cool as a kid in his baby pic. We also saw baby photos of the eight remaining finalists
Danny Gokey, Born: April 24, 1980-"Stand by Me"-Mickey Gilley version (Ben E. King had the original hit in 1961); Crowd pleaser; Randy hated the arrangement but Paula loved it and was dancing; made the song his own; great job-Safe!!!
Kris Allen, Born: June 21, 1985-"All She Wants to Do Is Dance"-Don Henley
Played the guitar; Uptempo song; Jazz Funk arrangement; Made it his own; unique; Simon called it indulgnant, boring, and forgettable; Stupid song choice-Bottom 3
Lil Rounds, Born: October 20, 1984-"What's Love Got to Do with It"-Tina Turner
Sounded like the original; wrong song choice; the judges are disappointed with Lil; not making an impact in the competition; Second or third rate Tuna Turner; She needs to be original; Safe-Please, listen to the judges, Lil..come up with a song that is you
Anoop Desai, Born: December 20, 1986--same birthday as Season 7 Winner David Cook
"True Colors"-Cyndi Lauper
Very controlled vocal; he was himself; flawless song choice; he is like a singing yo yo--good performance one week and bad performance the next week; Safe for another week
Scott MacIntyre-Born: June 22, 1985--one day after Kris
"The Search is Over"-Survivor
Played the electric guitar--what a surprise!!!; challenging song choice; overambitious; horrible; boring; Simon wanted Scott to return to the piano; He is going home this week!!!
Allison Iraheta, Born: April 27, 1992
"I Can't Make You Love Me"-Bonnie Raitt
Undeniably Allison; Made it her own; Reminded of Kelly Clarkson--almost a lookalike; can sing her face off; she needs to inject more personality; Safe
Matt Giraud, Born: May 11, 1985--"Part Time Lover"-Stevie Wonder
Best performance of the night; incredible better than last week; Safe
Adam Lambert, Born: January 29, 1982--"Mad World"-Tears for Fears
Once again, commanded the stage. The show ran a few minutes long--Simon spoke on behalf of all the judges. He did something that he has never done before--He gave a standing ovation
I am shocked that Simon did something that is not usually Simon Cowell's thing. You can see the video at http://www.ryanseacrest.com/
